Toy Story Franchise is Pixar’s most successful production so far. The power of this cash cow is amazing.

Box office
According to Box Office Mojo, the worldwide total lifetime grosses for the trilogy is as below:
Toy Story $361,958,736
Toy Story 2 $485,015,179
Toy Story 3 $1,063,171,911
————————————————
Total: $1,910,145,826
Surprisingly, Toy Story 4 is coming. Many people think the trilogy is perfect enough and worry that the new sequel will weaken the strength of this legend. However, the project seems going on. As Tom Hanks is lending his voice to Woody, we can see from the “Projects in Development” column in his IMDb profile that Toy Story 4 will be released in 2015.
Other ways of cashing money
At present, we don’t know whether Toy Story 4 can keep up the supreme quality and surpass the old sequels. Let’s pray Pixar has a good story to tell. But one thing for sure is that the whole series is cashing a lot of money in different ways.
1) VHS, Laserdisc, VCDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs
2) Soundtracks
3) Books such as Read to Me book and CD.
4) Software
5) Toys such as chess game
6) Clothing
7) Shoes
Other merchandise such as cushion, toilet roll container
9) Theme Park attractions
10) Event decorations such as the Christmas one at Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong.

The cashing money process is easy when many characters are appealing enough to call for sales alone. Toy Story Aliens, Woody and Buzz Lightyear are the most popular examples.
The animated films, merchandise and different kinds of commercial projects extend the lifespan of the Toy Story characters in majority’s heart. These friendly characters accompany many audiences growing up and their existences can be found in our daily life easily.
Huge Christmas decoration
Audience can control the level of Toy Story exposures. If you don’t like the stories and the characters, you can avoid watching the movies, buying the merchandise and staying away from the theme parks, etc.
On the contrary, you may find Toy Story adorable and let them cheer up you. Some of us may even keep spending money to receive the joy and fun that come from this franchise. As a fan, it could be quite heartbreak to see so many wonderful merchandises and decorations, but you don’t have the money and space to get them all home. In this circumstance, I always like using my digital camera to capture the lovely images.
The photos collection shows the 2011 Christmas decoration at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Though I can’t take those giants back home, it is nice to take photos with them. The photos show the characters without me. Feel free to apply your imagination to add yourself into the spot.

The same decoration will not exist anymore because it is for 2011 Christmas only. However, the memory and joy are worthy to cherish. If Toy Story is not your cup of tea, hope you will find your favorites and get the greatest enjoyment out of it.

I’m sure the kids love all of it.
Toilet roll containers? They have everything they could think of.
The genius of Toy Story is that the characters are toys, which translate perfectly into franchising products. The aliens tree is hilarious!
